The Drive From Dehradun to Mussoorie: 

  • Dehradun to Mussoorie is currently 34 kilometers away. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach to Mussoorie.The first important stop along the trip was the famed Malsi Deer Park, also known as Dheradhun Zoo. The park, nestled among the lush surrounds, is a paradise for environment lovers.
  • As you mount to Mussoorie, your journey begins with a beautiful drive via winding lanes and pine trees. The town's welcoming atmosphere and clean mountain air surprise you as you arrive, leaving behind the bustle of city life.the temperature gradually dropped, offering respite from the summer heat of the plains.

There are numerous attractions to see in Mussoorie, however in my opinion, you should go to the places listed below:-

  • Mall Road:

Mall Road is the main shopping and entertainment street in Mussoorie. It's lined with shops, restaurants, and local vendors, making it a lively place to explore.


All of the famous hotels are largely accessible to the mall road. So, while suffering on mall road, enjoy shopping by walking and shooting pictures. 

The night views of Mall Road is fantastic. The night view of Dehradhun can be seen from several spots along the route. It seems like stars sparkling; the stars appear to be ahead of the ground.


  • Gun Hill:

Gun Hill is a prominent viewpoint in Mussoorie, accessible by a cable car ride or a short trek. It offers panoramic views of the Himalayan ranges and the town below

You should visit Gun Hill during the day. becouse The cable car takes you to Gun Hill. You can enjoy the cable car ride; it was a fantastic experience for us. The cable car takes you to Gun Hill from the mall road. It costs about 180 rupees per person on both sides.

  • Lal Tibba:

Lal Tibba is the highest point in Mussoorie and provides stunning panoramic views of the Himalayas. It's a great spot for sunrise and sunset views.

Going for Lal TibaIf you want the real magnific view of hills, then drive a bike or scooty. As you go above, it looks like we are flying on clouds, and the mist will give you a feel of heaven, mostly in the mansoon season.

Don't forget to carry raincoats with you before going to ride. Bikes or scooties are often available for rent at an approximate cost of Rs. 350.

There are two more spots on the road of Lal Tiba that are 1 to 2 kilometers away. It's a one-of-a-kind location. These locations are known to some individuals:

      • Landour Bake HouseSince 1895, the oldest bake house has been in service.A Mussoorie Bakehouse uses century-old British recipes, so you must visit and experience these bakeries.

      • Cafe ivy  :Cafe Ivy offers stunning views and delicious food . People mostly come here for the outdoor view of the cafe, which is settelled in a forest of hills and provides a gorgeous vista.             


  • Kempty Falls:

Kempty Falls is a picturesque waterfall located a distance of about 15km from Mussoorie. It's a popular spot for picnics and offers a refreshing break from the summer heat.
Bhatta Falls:
If you wish to enjoy waterfalls close to Mussoorie in a short distance, visit Bhatta Falls, which is just 7-8 kilometers away, Maggie can be eaten on the water table near the waterfall. The water is incredibly cold, which takes away all of your tiredness.

[Note:If you drive to all of the neighboring attractions, you should rent a bike or scooter to get the finest view of Hill Station.However, be careful wear helmets, and obey all traffic laws.]

What to pack and what to Bring: warm jackets or cotton clothing:

  • Summer:  

Even though the temperatures are mild, it is still suggested to wear light clothing during the day. However, because temperatures can drop in the nights, it's a good idea to bring a light jacket or sweater.

  • Monsoon:
Even though the temperatures are mild during the monsoon, light clothing is still recommended. Always keep light, warm jackets or sweaters on hand. You must also have a raincoat or umbrella with you. Because you never know when it will rain during the monsoons. If you go on a ride in Mussoorie, you must wear a raincoat, and if you go to the mall road, you must have an umbrella.

  2. The region experiences higher humidity during the monsoon season.  the monsoon season can be a good time for nature enthusiasts and photographers.the mist and clouds can create a mystical atmosphere.A mysterious mood can be created by fog and clouds.
  3. During the monsoon season, the weather in Mussoorie remains mostly foggy and cloudy. Suddenly, it starts raining and stops in 2–3 minutes. Most of the time, it starts raining in the evening, and by the end of the night, there is a thick fog.
  4. One frequently asked issue is if it is safe to visit Mussoorie in Monsoon. Because Mussoorie is located in the Himalayan foothills, the answer is yes. Landslides are extremely unlikely. You might experience rainy and foggy weather during the Mansoon season, but this creates an amazing view of Mussoorie that you will not find anywhere else.
